               Mr.  Theodore Whitford,  Advisor                      The  Moses  Brown  French  Club  had  another  suc­
                                                                   cessful  year  during  1963-64.  An  increased  member­
                                                                   ship  shows  that  this  club  has  become  a  popular  one
                                                                   at  Moses  Brown.  To  kick  off  the  year,  Mark  Trau­
                                                                   gott,  last  year’s  exchange  student  to  the  Lycee
                                                                   Classique  de  Garcons  in  Menton,  France,  gave  an
                                                                   illustrated  talk  of  his  experiences  in  Europe  to
                                                                   Moses  Brown  boys  and  their  dates.  In  January,  a
                                                                   group  of  MB  boys  won  a  talent  contest  by  singing
                                                                   a  Beatle  song  in  French.  In  March,  the  French  Club
                                                                   played  host  to  the  Rhode  Island  Junior  Alliance.
                                                                   April  brought  the  Friends’  Affiliations  Service’s  con­
                                                                   vention  on  student  exchanges  to  Providence.  The
                                                                   Moses  Brown  French  Club  aided  girls  from  Wheel­
                                                                   er  and  Lincoln  in  preparing  to  board  and  entertain
                                                                   students  who  came  from  all  over  New  England.
                                                                   Through  the  work  of  Mr.  Whitford,  an  attempt  to
                                                                   have  a  double  exchange  with  Menton  was  under­
                                                                   taken.  The  activities  of  the  club  in  the  spring  were
                                                                   highlighted  by  a  dance  and  efforts  to  raise  annual
                                                                   funds  to  support  the  annual  exchange.
