                                                 But,  just  as  important,  the  staff
                                               had  fun  putting  out  the  occasional
                                               rag.  None  will  ever  forget  cutting
                                               Freedman’s  article  in  half  to  get
                                               a  fourth  story  for  the  front  page,
                                               measuring   off   Heebner’s   43’/2
                                               inches  of  track  against  McWhirt-
                                               er’s  42  inches  of  basketball,  or
                                               putting  out  Volume  VIII,  Number
                                               2  in  nine  days.  Now  the  graduat­
                                               ing  editors  can  sit  back  and  laugh
                                               at  the  suckers  who  eagerly  took  the
                                               reins  after  spring  vacation.
