                                                                                                               PRINCIPAL

Dear Members of the Gass of 1996,
This Yearbook attempts to capture moments in time over the past four years that you were a
student at St. John's Prep. I am sure as you look through these pages you will have a greater
appreciation of how far you have traveled as an individual and as a class during your time here.
You should have a greater appreciation of the fact that you are no longer the timid freshmen who
entered the front doors on Crescent Street in September of 1992; that you are now the confident
                      leaders of the school.

On behalf of the whole St. John's Prep Community, I would like to thank all the members of the
Gass of 19% for their many contributions to the School - contributions in the classroom, on
the stage, at the retreat house, on the basketball court, on the soccer field, in the science lab, in
every aspect of the School's life. These contributions will live on in the memories of all the
members of the St. John's Prep Community.
I hope that you look forward to the future with great optimism because you have developed a
better understanding of yourself, a greater appreciation of other people, and a more secure belief
in God's love for you during your time at St. John's. We all look forward to your continued
contributions to this City, this Country, and the World beyond.
                      Sincerely,

                      William A. Higgins
