Moments in Time — A winter
to Remember
It all started innocently enough. A
few flakes in early December. Then
t'was the week before Christmas and
the first of the seasons snow really
attacked. That gave us a day and a
half off in the middle of the Christ­
mas shopping season. BUT WAIT!
T H A T WA S N O T H I N G ! We
straggled in after Christmas wearing
all our new Christmas gifts and we
made it through three days of school
and then Sunday January 7, the skies
opened up and it didn't stop for al­
most three days. It just piled up, and
up, and up. The biggest blizzard in
our lifetimes. WE GOT THREE DAYS
OFF! A RECORD SETTING EVENT!
Some of us managed to get in that
Thursday, a few more of us on Fri­
day, but again came the snow and it
was early dismissal!!! A week where
we had a day and a half of school.
Sorry Shakespeare, but that week
was not the winter of our discontent.
