Freshmen Make Money

Freshman Class did much to make
the year enjoyable and profitable.
Selling candy after school brought
needed money to the class, and the
cooperation of several ninth-grade
students made selling a productive
venture, reaping funds for the 1987 Prom.
Creating the Homecoming banner also
united many freshmen. “Working on the
banner enabled me to view the unity of
our class, and many thought we deserved
to win. Even though the banner didn’t
bring us money, selling candy made up
for it,” stated Mariela Markelis.
