Our Town and
The Jester’s Test
New Challenges
Many RHS students enjoyed being involved with
Our Town, a very unique play. The audience had to use their
imagination when it came to watching the characters
perform every day task because cooking was done without
stage props such as pots and pans. This lack of props made
these scenes challenging for the actors and actresses. "I
think the audience was a little confused with the show/'
said senior Zachery Dillon. "They didn't quite understand
the point the show was trying to make." Senior Patricia
Lillyhorn commented on what she felt when she found out
she had gotten the lead part in the play. "I was in utter
shock. I have worked really hard to get into the drama
department/' she said. "I think as a whole the play Our
Town was a success."
The all-school musical was traded in for the first
ever madrigal dinner, The Jester's Test. The madrigal dinner
was a combination of a musical and a full-course meal.
Many of the cast members had never performed in a play
that had so much crowd interaction. "Playing the lead was
one of the most fun experiences of my life," commented
senior Randy Naegele. "It made me a little nervous to be so
close to the audience."
Catching up on the town
gossip are actresses Natalie
Tiehen and Elizabeth
Meyers in Our Toion.
Our Town was both
Patricia Lilyhorn's and
Daniel Bostw ick's first
time playing the lead role.
"I will always remember
working with Patricia; she
is an excellent and talented
actress." said Bostwick.
