W ho's w ho out there? The freshm en play hard ball with
W estside's defense.
Looking at the freshman
football team's record,
you may say that it
wasn't a very successful
season. But does the
record really state how
hard these guys played,
or how much time they
put into this game? Not
really. What was
achieved during the
season is more impor
tant than what the
record states. Coach Jim
McGrath wrote, "The
team worked hard to
learn their positions,
techniques and team
concept. They never
gave up. Losing records
tend to breed quitters,
but this team hung
tough through much
adversity. "Quit" was
never part of their
vocabulary. As a coach,
this is an important
quality to instill in
athletes."
The freshm en push G ross' defense out of
# their w ay to reach a first down.
