what Coach Smith called a
“roller coaster" season.
The team started the year
with an encouraging 2nd
place finish in the A.L.
tournament. From there
on, the team had some
good play and some bad
play, with no one playing
well at the same time.
Coach Smith said the team
finished their season with
a 3-3 record. They placed
an overall 3rd in the con
ference with junior Kent
Papstein placing 10th,
freshman Brad Rowe 14th,
and senior Ryan Vodicka
15th. The team ended with
a disappointing 6th place
finish at Districts.
The girls tennis team
had another champion
ship year. Although their
record was 9-3, they were
definitely a strong tourna
ment team. At the Ram
Invite, the team placed 4th
overall, and they took 5th
at the Millard North Invite.
