Varsity girls soccer started off their
season defeating Roncalli in the
Skutt/Roncalli tournament in a
shoot out with a score 1-0. They
made their way to the champion
ship game of the RCC Tournament
and gained the title after their
victory over Skutt. One week later,
they met up with Skutt again to
play for the RCC title. The Rams
held strong and downed Skutt 2-0.
In District play, the Rams defeated
Mercy which took them to the
finals, and there they defeated
Gross 1-0 in overtime. The Rams
made it to State and was the first
team to make it past the first round
since 1987. The Rams' leading
scorer was freshman Molly Korgie,
and right behind her was Jessie
Stehlik. Stehlik also led the team in
assists. The defense was led by
seniors Jeni Fichter, Lindy Heavrin,
Angela Jones and Kim Romine in
the goal. The defense managed to
gain a respectable 11 shut outs and
scored 62 goals on the year. The Senior Jeni Fichter takes
Rams ended their season with the the game-winning shot
best record at Ralston since 1987. during the shoot out as the
Rams defeated Roncalli
