ACT one celebrated its ZOth anniversary in the 1988-89 season.

CElEbratEd its ZOth anniversary with thE showing of
Blithe Spirit, CamElot, Uncle Uanya, and Much Ado
About nothing.
Along with acadEmic departments, studEnt
organizations arE rEsponsiblE for mang of thE Events
held on campus. This year’s mock student debate
sponsorEd by the Politics Club provided the student
body with an understanding of thE presidential
candidates’ idEoIogiES. Organizations also
participated in national Alcohol Awareness Week
with a dEcorating contest held in thE McShea
Commons. And, let us not forget thE dEbatE team
who for thE sECond gear defeatEd Lehigh University
and other collEges in L.U.A.I.C. to win the Boom-Ba
award.
Lastly, we cannot ignore the numErous important
speakers brought to AIlEntown as part of thE Marcon
Lecture Series. This gear we had the honor of hEaring
rEtirEd U.5. senator William ProxmirE speak at the
Labuda Center for the Performing Arts. U/e werE also
able to listen about thE plight of black South Africans
from the Rev. Denis E. Hurley, Archbishop of Durban.
