               GRADUATION


                 This  y e a r ' s   graduation  weekend  began  on  Saturday,  May
               Z7  as  seniors  arrived  at Tocik Hall  to  spend  a  tinal  day
               together celebrating  their  impending  commencement.  The
               day  was  filled  with the traditional  festivities  which  were
               attended  by  friends  and  relatives  as  well  as  the  graduates.
                  Sunday,  May Z8  began  with  the  Baccalaureate  Mass
               which  was  followed  by  a  brunch  in  the  McShea  Commons.
               Commencement  exercises  took place  later that  same
               afternoon  on  the  plaza  of Trexler  Library. The  keynote
               address  was  delivered  by  Herb  Denenberg,  Philadelphia’s
               Channel  10  consumer reporter.  Honorary  degrees  were
               awarded to  Denenberg,  Ellwyn  D.  Spiker,  senior consultant
               at  Healtheast,  Inc.,  and  artist Jag J.  Dugan.
                  The  class  of 1989  had  the  distinction  of  being  the  largest
                graduating  class  in  the  history  of the  College with  a  total  of
               ZZO  graduates,  fls  Senior class  president,  Paul  Klauder,
               addressed  his  fellow  classmates  for the  last time,  tears  of
               sadness  and jog  were  seen  in  the  eyes  of  many  of the
               graduates.  He  recalled  events  and  memories  of  the  past  four
               years  and  wished  happiness  and  wealth  upon  his
               classmates  as  they  step  out  into  the  real  world.
