varsity football team powers through the season by Ryan Pavolini and Kaylee Erickson
Although they didn't make the play-offs, spirits were still high for the
Ralston varsity football team. "Overall we made great strides and had
great improvement amongst the younger kids," said Coach Fink about this
year's season.
The team won four out of their nine games. "Beating Gross" was
Coach Fink's proudest moment for his team. The entire team was still
proud of their improvements and the effort they put forth this season. Running the Option. Knott running an
option hoping to break through the line.
The team's goals consisted of a district championship and making the
play-offs. They didn't meet their goals but they made great improvements
and plan an even bigger push next year.
Senior Taylor Murph (Running Back #5) completed an amazing
season with a total of 929 rushing yards out of the teams 1,630, including
his longest rush, a 93 yard touchdown! Fie also scored 10 out of the team's
18 touchdowns. Murph finished his high school football career like a
champ.
