They shoot they score! The Ralston Varsity Basketball boys bring
their wins home. Students in Ralston High School explain what it
means to them to be a Varsity Basketball player. We interviewed
Senior Alex Shannon, and Juniors Donovan Warren, and Jadyn
Flowers for more details.
“We could of had a lot better season” said senior Alex Shannon. He
also said, “We would always fight to the end of the game throughout
the season.” Junior Donovan Warren said that his best game was when
they took Skutt to overtime. “The most memorable experience with the
team was the long bus rides.” Junior Jadyn Flowers Described Ralston
Basketball in one word and it was “Adversity.” “Having injuries to key
players and having to trust others to fill their spots” was a challenge
that had brought the team closer together.
The Rams finished their season with an 8-16 record. “We played for
each other not ourselves” added Senior Alex Shannon. “ We became a
family” said Junior Jadyn Flowers.
