Mr. James Wilson, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, was one
of the founders of Clearwater Christian College in 1965.
Mr. Wilson, after teaching thirty-three years in Shafter High
School, Shafter, California “retired’’ to teaching in Christian
schools.
Mr. Wilson worked his way through the University of Southern
California by driving a bus in Hollywood and received his Bachelor
of Arts degree in Mathematics in 1928.
Mr. Wilson was born in the Midwest in 1900, and loves
living on a farm away from the city. Besides his teaching, Mr.
Wilson owns farms in Oklahoma and California.
Mr. Wilson married in 1936 and was blessed with five
children - Jim, Noel, Linda, Tom, and Wilma.
Mr. Wilson has coached football and basketball, and is one
of Clearwater Christian College’s most ardent sports fans, to
be found at all of our games.
One of Mr. Wilson’s most enjoyable pastimes is reading
Spanish. Each summer he and his family travel to Mexico where
they visit missionaries, churches, and sightsee.
It is to this one, Mr. James V. Wilson, professor, husband,
father, and friend, that our 1968 Causeway is dedicated.
