with science, under the guidance of
Howard Warren. His enthusiasm and
passion for teaching instilled in us a love
for learning and for science. Always
y prepared with a joke or anecdote, Mr.
Warren made science a class that we
looked forward to all day.
Not only did Mr. Warren recognize the importance of learning
inside the classroom, but he also realized the value of experiencing
science hands on. Who could forget that exciting trip to Jamaica Bay,
when we, bedecked in waders, sloshed around in the water, digging for
shells. Through experiences and trips like Jamaica Bay, Mr. Warren
gave us the opportunity to examine wildlife in its natural habitat and
inspired in us the desire to make important scientific descoveries.
Mr. Warren is a truly exceptional teacher who cared as much
about us as Lower Schoolers who filled his classroom daily, as he does
about us now, never failing to stop and talk to us in the halls. For his
passion, boundless energy, and eccentric teaching style, the class of
2004 would like to dedicate The Bruner to Mr. Warren.
