The second semester brought approximately thirty new students ready

to begin or resume their college education. College is an exciting time, but it can

be a scary time because finding the right college is not easy. Nathan Leather-

wood, an accounting major, has enjoyed his experience at college. Choosing a

college was important to Nathan. He said, "I desired a school where I could get

a good education in a Christian environment. The thing I enjoy the most is the

fact that the teachers and administration know we make mistakes and are will­

ing to work through them with us." He also said that the college impacted his

life academically and spiritually. He added, "I’m being taught principles to use in

business but most importantly, in my Christian walk."

Not all students came as a new college students. Some started their edu­

cation at other colleges and transferred to Clearwater. Alyssa Hart, a freshman,

said, "I transferred because 1 didn't have any peace about staying at my former

university, and I felt God directing me to Clearwater Christian College."
