"My deepest desire is that
every one of our students
would truly know the Triune
God through Christ as re
vealed in His Word. I am ea
ger for each one to develop
an ever increasing confi
dence in the Scriptures as
the compass for life. I aim
to instill a love for other be
lievers who truly know the
Lord. Further I hope to ig
nite a passion within each
class so that they will be
willing to die in the defense of the essentials of the Christian faith
while granting latitude in the areas of preference. From the relation
ship of knowing God through His Word, I yearn for each one of our
students to serve with the integrity as followers of Christ, advancing
the benefit for humankind in whatever vocation he or she embraces.
In our students' service, I pray that they will faithfully point others to
Jesus as the only Saviour by the character of their lives and the clar
ity of their witness." D r Carl Martin
Each Bible faculty member has a different style of teaching and as well as unique
ideas, yet they all express a desire to convey how important Scripture and the Gospel
are in believers' lives. Dr. Dan Ebert expresses his passion for the Gospel through an
outreach ministry: "In 2003 I was invited to give a lecture on the Christian faith to a
community of Muslims in the Tampa Bay area. As a result of this opportunity, over the
past three years a number of students have joined me and others in an ongoing outreach.
There are now informal monthly meetings with the Muslim men where a doctrinal topic
is chosen and discussed. Lady students, along with some other Christian women, also
occasionally meet with the Muslim women. Those who have participated have learned
much by visiting with Muslims (e.g., observing their Ramadan services, sharing meals
and friendly conversations, eating together at restaurants, and gather
