the solid training that the Bible department gives, especial
ly in the Biblical languages. I wanted to gain a foundation
for seminary study in biblical studies and theology, and so
I chose the Bible concentration to give me that. I added my
English concentration because I want to be able to think and
present my ideas clearly. A large portion of seminary study is
writing papers, and I'm taking English classes so that I will be able
to write more clearly and effectively." Speaking of his professors' impact
on his life, he said, "God has used them in more wavs than I know how to describe. I

have learned so much from them in my classes, but the amazing thing is that they are all
willing to talk. Mr. Carver has always been there to pray for me, Dr. Ebert has been there
numerous times to give me advice when I needed it, and Mr. Abell has always been there
to listen and encourage me. They have prepared me for seminary both academically and
spiritually, challenging me to love Christ and to love my neighbors." When he's finished
with his undergraduate degree, he hopes to go to seminary to get his master's in Biblical
& studies, and then another master's that will enable him to be involved in missions.
