When I was in the seventh and eight grades, my
dad was a history teacher. Instead of only lectur­
ing and note-taking, we went on trips to historical
sites and watched documentaries. Then,
in my senior year of high school, I took
AP American History at the public school.
My teacher, Mrs. D’Addario, was one of
the most amazing teachers I have ever had.
Because of the fun I had with my dad, I
decided to study history; and because of
the way Mrs. D’Addario taught, I decided
to become a high school teacher. Right
now, my plans are uncertain for next year.
Currently, I’m filling out an application for
employment here at Clearwater and wait­
ing to see where the Lord directs. Even­
tually, I want to go to grad school and
teach high school.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned at col­
lege is that God’s plan is best. It’s so easy
for me to think that my plan for my life is
perfect! But when I remember that God
loves me, knows all about me, knows the
future, and wants the best for my life, I can rest
assured that any trial or stressful moment I’m go­
ing through will work out for good. My most im­
portant life goal is to serve the Lord in whatever
capacity He asks me. I also want to live as if I had
already seen the happiness of heaven and the tor­
ments of hell, learn more about my Savior, share
the gospel with the lost, be a good role model to
my little sisters, travel the world, make people
smile, teach high school, fall in love, and maybe
even run for political office.

and staff at CCC is how real they are. At most
schools, the staff sit in their own section or room
for meals, but here it’s not unusual to share a
table with a teacher, the Dean of Women, or even
the President of the college.”

knowledge at his fingertips; he teaches advanced
classes like Federal Taxation and Advanced
Accounting out of his head. He always takes time

understand, and he is very open to students
asking questions.”

positively. She has been a good example for me
of serving Christ and growing in her walk with
Him. Heidi and 1 had many long conversations,
which usually ended either with a lot of laughter
all around or with promises to pray for one
another.”

get to spend with my roommates. I have been

with or even vent problems to is what makes your
college years so precious.”

at the freshman activity my first week here; I was
trying to flirt with this girl at the skating rink. I lost
my balance for one second and fell flat on my
