Good-byes,
good buys
S enior pictures, memory
books, tassels, and
announcements were among the
list of things seniors bought
because it was their senior year.
The rise of inflation did not
seem to have much effect on the
way seniors were spending their
money. The average cost to get
the “ bare necessities" was around
$250.
Senors not only spent their
money for things pertaining to
school; there were parties to
attend, places to go, and people to
meet. Between school and having a
social life, many seniors learned
how to skrimp.________________ ______
Decisions, decisions. Picking the right things
to remember one's senior year by was a must
during November when seniors had to select
and order their announcements and other
memorabilia.
"Thanks for the change" wasn't heard very
often when seniors went out on a spending
binge. Even though money was a factor it
didn't affect the way students bought nick-
nacks to remember their school years.
