first in districts this and last year

One obstacle he had to
overcome was a knee injury
which occured in a dual meet
December 8. Kohler's doctor
believed the ligaments were
damaged and that Kohler would
never wrestle again.
"That hit me hard," said
Kohler, "I didn't want it to be
over.
After a cast was removed, he
could not bend his knee, which
promoted arthroscopic surgery,
a method in which only a small
incision is made.
A week and a half later, he
pinned the fourth-ranked 185-
pounder in the state.
Districts proved to be an
"emotional high" for Kohler.
