“For these girls, it was a roller coaster-like season, with big, emotional wins
and broken-heart losses. There were many ups and downs throughout, but
the season provided an opportunity for
growth and development, coupled with
good weather. The season began with
a quick start, winning two out of three
duals, the only loss to Omaha Skutt on
a warm breezy day. Each dual showed
huge growth as everyone was getting
accustomed to being back on the courts
after a year off from competition. But,
the following week presented many
challenging duals and invites. In each
dual loss, there was a tremendous tenacity that surfaced, propelling many close matches.
This was especially evident in the dual against Papillion La Vista, where all was tied
going into the doubles matches. The last half of the dual season ended on a high note,
winning four of the last five rather decisively. The tournament season was a difficult
one-running into great competition at each invite. Throughout the season, the growth of
tenacity and fighting back in tough situations surfaced, along with leaps in consistancy
and shot selection.”--Head Coach Dale Kinney
