Playing Strong

The excitement and electricity
that was built around the
Westside game from our
standpoint was amazing. We
had the confidence at the
plate that day. We beat the
tiest pitcher in the state. The
confidence that we had in that
game carried over into the
district finals where we packed
our bags for state for the first
time in five years.

1 he greatest memory
of the year, by far, was the
district tournament. In the
semi-finals we beat the No.
3 team in the state, Omaha
Westside, and one of the top, if
not the best, pitchers. Then in
the championship game we beat
Lincoln Southeast, and had one Dog pile after
of the greatest dog piles I have % i %_
