In November, RHS students got a
taste of what it’s like to be on TV.
NewsCenter 3 came and taped
first lunch giving donations to the
Crystal Tipton fund. The fund
raiser, sponsored by DECA,
raised over $300 for the little girl
who was mauled by wolves.
“Ryan Does Drugs” was the
name of the skit that Project Free
performed during their tour of
sixth grade classes. The charac
ter of Ryan was played by Junior
Ryan Horner who also played
Ryan’s mother. “What made this
funny was that Ryan would be
laying on the floor, having just
passed out, and would suddenly
jump up, run back stage and
come out as Ryan’s mother,
donning a wig and a mixing
bowl and talking in funny voice,”
Project Free sponsor Katny
Thomas said. The play was also
presented at RHS during the
week that speaker John Crudele
was in Ralston.
For the past two years, Project
Free has sponsored Red Ribbon
Week. This week has been
dedicated to promoting a drug
and alcohol free life, Freshman
Julie Spears said. This year they
gave out red ribbons that said
"The Way To Be, Drug Free”,
which were given to all students
in the Ralston School District.
They also provided the ribbons
for car antennas and decorated
the building.
