Placing his shot Is senior three-
year letterman Tony Medina.
Medina, along with Junior Kevin
Heim, made up one of the best
doubles teams in state competi
tion. The Rams finished 7th as a
team at state and finished with a
6-3 record in duals. Setting herself to return the ball is
Senior Susan Keetle. The Girls
Varsity Tennis Team finished with
a dual record of 4-5. In tourna
ment play, the Lady Rams
finished 7th at the Ralston and
Papio Invites and 3rd at the
Millard North Tournament. They
finished the year with an 11th
place finish at state.
With the overhead smash is
Senior Jeff Sawarynski.
Sawarynski was a two-year letter
winner in tennis and three-year
letter winner in soccer for the
Rams. The Rams, as a team,
finished 3rd at the Ram Invite,
Papio and Millard North
Invitationals and a 9th place
finish at Metro.
Firing away is Junior Kevin Helm.
Heim and Medina finished 4th at
state in doubles competition.
Helm, the only Junior or under
classman on the boys’ tennis
team, prompted Coach Dale
Kinney to refer to his team as,
"The Seniors and Kevin.”
Returning a volley is Senior Kim
Wendt. Wendt, along with
doubles partner Senior Susan
Keetle, finished 4th in doubles at
the Girls' Varsity Ram Tennis
Invite.
