From the moment the house lights dim
med, to the final curtain, the audience was
held spellbound by this tense drama.
The acting was superb, especially the lead
pans of Anne Frank and her father, played by
Jayne Atkinson and Mike Blanco. The excel
lent set was constructed on three planes of
activity, and while the audience’s attention
was focused on one particular section of the
stage, the other characters went about their
business as if no one were watching. It was
not possible to keep from being thrilled by
the emotion that the players generated, and
the favorable comments about the profes
sional quality of the performance lingered for
weeks after the play.
Sara Bedford, senior, and Mike Blanco, junior, portray the parents of Anne Frank.
