When the "dirty dozen” of the Marine
Biology class arrived at Big Pine Key, the fun
had already started. From the joyous bus ride
down to the three-hour trek through the
Mangrove Swamp, there was fun galore. All
survived the food and the cold water to learn
all they could about marine eco systems. Fear­
less leader Mr. Jim Lansdale helped tremen­
dously to make the trip bearable for all, and
no one will ever forget this weedend: neither
will Big Pine Key.
