On their home court on March 1, the Lady Cougars
made CCC history. Crowning their season with a win
over Toccoa Falls for the district championship, the
women's basketball team qualified for the national
NCCAA basketball tournament for the first time ever.
They also earned the distinction of being the first CCC
team to take the new bus on a long road trip. Dr. Lar
sen and Mr. Olsen shared the driving responsibilities
during the 22-hour trip to the national tournament in
Oklahoma. Although the Lady Cougars lost all three
games in the tournament, the trip served as a good
initiation to the national level of competition. As
