Johnston taught sophomores and
juniors for six and a half years in

“An advantage of being a new
teacher is when you’re young you’re
able to relate to students better
because you can remember days in
high school,” said Dan Meyer, social
studies teacher, “but if you’ve been
around the school for years you
know the students and the
background of the school.”
