can to get that approval, but there’s a defined approvals process
– you can’t just turn up and start digging – so we need to go

Yandal was also raising circa $3.34 million via a pro-rata non-
renounceable rights issue at the time of print, with funds to be
used primarily on exploration at Gordons and the Mt McClure
project, about 20km from the mothballed Bronzewing processing
plant.
Describing Mt McClure as “a bit of a sleeper” in the company’s
portfolio, Hughes is keen to resume work at the historic mine –
which last produced gold in 2012 – as soon as possible. Haul
roads still exist between the project and Bronzewing, which is now
owned by Northern Star, one of Yandal’s major shareholders.
“We think there’s huge resource potential. We’ve been planning
to attack those deposits and that mineralisation there once
we’ve completed our major programmes at Flushing Meadows,”
Hughes said.
“There has been a lot of interest in that deposit. We’ve actually
recently applied for three new mining licences over the known
mineralisation. The next stage is to carry out enough work to
confirm initial resources.”
Yandal believes it is on the cusp of a major discovery at Gordons Dam
