Exploration history

• Early 1970ties, discovery of Telfer gold deposit. This
led to intense exploration of the southern

(outcropping) Yeneena Basin

• Subsequent discovery of other mineralisation styles
in the area; e.g. Nifty sediment hosted copper,
O’Callaghans skarn W-Zn-Pb-Cu, Kintyre uranium
etc

• Up till the early 1990ties exploration in the northern,
undercover part of the Yeneena basin (Anketell
Shelf) was mainly restricted to seismic surveys for oil
and gas exploration

• From the early 1990ties regional exploration by BHP
(regional aircore drilling and GEOTEM surveys) and Winu
focussed exploration programmes by a number of
companies (e.g. Croesus/ Gindalby, Teck, Glengarry,
Antipa). This led to discovery of the Magnum and
Calibre gold-copper deposits by Antipa

• RTX entered Citadel joint venture with Antipa
