Black Pine Discovery History, Part 1

Here’s to finding the sweet spot.
       • Late 1800s – early 1900s: small-scale mining of silver and base

metals from around the periphery of the gold system; small scale

mining of mercury from surface quartz veins

       • 1950s – mining of approximately 100,000 tons grading 5.6 g/t gold

from the original Tallman Pit; small heap leach operation

       • 1960s to 1980s – small-scale surface exploration and drilling by
          multiple companies

       • 1986 to 1990: Noranda maps framework geology; drills over 500

holes and defines outcropping oxide gold orebodies; produces

          feasibility study

       • 1990: Noranda sells the property to Pegasus Gold for US$6.3 million

       • 1991 to 1997: Pegasus Gold mines outcropping orebodies; drills
over 1300 holes, few over 100 m long; no geology

                                                                                                                                                           TSX:LGD | OTCQX:LGDTF
