VITALITY OF VALUES
Values are an important part of a child's overall development. Values make
a person morally strong. Values are basically good manners or teachings
that are transferred from one generation to another. It is believed that when
the child is in mother’s womb, whatever the mother eats, reads, hears or
witnesses is retained by the child. It is from that very phase of life that the
child starts receiving values.
Importance of values is sensed at every stage of life. During school days,
values help a person to attain good knowledge and learn everything with
passion and hard work. When child grows into adult, values help him to
choose the correct path and prevent him from indulging in wrong things.
When a person gets married, values help him to understand the importance
and responsibility of a family. In old age also one is prone to indulge in
wrong habits and unnecessary fights.
Therefore, it is the duty of a mother to inculcate good values in a child and
it is the duty of the child to imbibe them and act accordingly.
