CYBER ETHICS-THE MORAL CODE WE NEED TO FOLLOW
While setting out the clues to discover the path of illumination in the books Angels and Demons and Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown, the author described math
as the route to it as men of science from all over the world could understand it. Thus math was considered as a universal language. A similar situation if
considered today would reveal that internet is the world’s biggest culture. Out of the 7.6 billion on the planet 3.6 billion are internet users. Consider the fact
that everyone recognizes and understands the meaning of a smiling emoji just as much as one understands that one plus one is two.
Thus we can safely assume that Internet has a lot of traffic. From smallest questions to the biggest business deals anything and everything is handled here.
We interact with a large community of people. Thus just like while driving a car multiple precautions have to be kept in mind similarly internet also requires
us to be responsible and follow cyber ethics. cyber ethics refers to the basic ethics and etiquette that must be followed while using a computer system.
Cyber ethics aim to protect the moral, financial, social behavior of individuals. Cyber ethics engages the users to use the internet safely and use technology
responsibly and sensibly. The instances of improper code of conduct comes from the assurance of lack of identification. Thus derogatory comments and
remarks by anonymous people on a public platform are a testimony to the fact.Improper code of conduct also gives rises to issues of copywriting and piracy.
it usually refers to illegal copy and distribution of resources such as movies, music etc. This breach of cyber ethics has been on a rise in recent times in
which we see movies being leaked online within hours of their release.A serious and disturbing infringement of cyber ethics is cyber bullying which can
take place on social media, messaging platforms, gaming platforms and mobile phones. It includes spreading lies or misconceptions, sending hurtful or
threatening messages targeted towards a particular person. This can lead to victim going through depression or anxiety. A disturbing fact regarding this
is that a large number of children a target for trolls.Internet hacking as well has become a major cause of concern nowadays. It involves an activity that
involves trying to gain access to computer systems in order to steal, modify or damage the data that the systems contain. In January 2021 reports of Covid
19 test were put up on internet in major security breach which was followed by a similar breach in the next month in which information of about 50,000
police personnel appearing for an exam was leaked and put up on sale. From the above instances, it is very clear that internet is not a completely safe place.
Thus one might consider to discontinue using it but that would be too drastic as life without internet is unimaginable in today’s date and time. Therefore, the
most practical step would be to adopt necessary measure to prevent being trapped in the net of cybercrime. Using strong passwords i.e. involving symbols
and numbers is a must. One should keep the software updated and should install an anti-virus software like quick heal or Norton in all electronic devices.
Perhaps, the most important step that needs to be taken is acknowledgement and discussion especially with the younger population. Children should be
made aware with the dangers and precautions to be taken while using the web.
These small steps if taken now can go a long way in preserving the cyber ethics and make internet a safer place.

ENERGY SAVED IS ENERGY GENERATED
Energy conservation refers to the efforts made to reduce the consumption of energy. The energy on Earth is not in unlimited supply.
Furthermore, energy can take plenty of time to regenerate. This certainly makes it essential to conserve energy. Most noteworthy, energy
conservation is achievable either by using energy more efficiently or by reducing the amount of service usage. Energy conservation plays an
important role in saving non-renewable energy resources. Furthermore, non-renewable energy sources take many centuries to regenerate.
Moreover, humans consume energy at a faster rate than it can be produced. Therefore, energy conservation would lead to the preservation of
these precious non-renewable sources of energy. Consequently, energy conservation would strengthen the economy as consumers will have
more disposable income to spend on goods and services. Another important reason for energy conservation is environmental protection. This
is because various energy sources are significantly harmful to the environment. Furthermore, the burning of fossil fuels considerably pollutes
the atmosphere. Energy taxation is a good measure from the government to conserve energy. Furthermore, several countries apply energy or
a carbon tax on energy users. This tax would certainly put pressure on energy users to reduce their energy consumption. Moreover, carbon
tax forces energy users to shift to other energy sources that are less harmful. Another important way of energy conservation is by using
energy-efficient products. Energy-efficient products are those that use lesser energy than their normal counterparts. In conclusion, energy
conservation must be among the utmost priorities of humanity. Mahatma Gandhi was absolutely right when he said, “the earth provides enough
to satisfy every man’s needs but not every man’s greed”. This statement pretty much sums up the importance of energy conservation.
