Wireless Sales Manager
Currently, I’m married with 3 children, ages 7, 10, and 13. I get to facilitate a Men’s Small
Group at my Church. It gives men a chance to participate in meaningful discussions about
life’s battles, relationships, and goals. I also love to run (Nike Run Club and Peloton).
Running provides me personal time to grow physically, mentally, and Spiritually.

I was born and raised in Namibia where I was privileged enough to become a teacher to a
diverse student body. I learned there how poverty impacts kids and the life-long
disadvantages it creates. In 1993 my husband, our son and I moved to North Carolina where
we lived for three years before moving to Minnesota. As with many immigrants, our journey
to citizenship was a long and arduous road, and finally, in 2008, we were so fortunate to be
sworn in as citizens of the USA. I was very excited when I heard of the D&I council initiative
and strive to ensure equality in opportunity and growth for all of the employees at Spok.

I was born in the States to 1 generation immigrant parents from Korea. They instilled in me
the value of hard work, taking pride in your roots, and the appreciation for different
cultures. I hope that the D&I Council, along with fellow Spok team members, will help
cultivate real change within the organization and within our communities. In my spare time,
I like to go to concerts (pre-COVID), be outdoors, practice yoga, and eat good food with
family and friends!

I enjoy cycling for my health and charity events such as Bike MS which Spok sponsors every
year. I fully support the American Cancer Society (Relay For Life), Walk to end Alzheimer’s
which my co-workers and I have participated in for the past four years. During this
pandemic, everyone needs to have a greater sense of responsibility to each other.
