luxury in 1,740 suites and guest rooms and 11 restaurants. The 85,000 square-
foot Mediterranean-themed casino hosts 1,900 slot machines, 166 video poker
games, 80 table games, a 16-table poker room, and a newly expanded smoke free
slot room. Beau Rivage’s gaming area also now includes a luxurious high-limits
area that functions as a “casino within a casino,” thanks to high-limit tables and
slot machines, an exclusive buffet and bar lounge, dedicated cashier services,
and around-the-clock concierge service. It also houses a large variety of upscale
shopping. An expansive lobby welcomes you to the beginning of an excellent,
relaxing stay in an exceedingly beautiful and very comfortable special place!
Fallen Oak Golf Course in Saucier was
designed by legendary course Architect
Tom Fazio exclusively for guests of Beau
Rivage Resort & Casino and raises the
bar for luxury resort golf in this region.
The par-72 championship layout unfolds
in a majestic, almost cinematic invitation
to all who love the game. The 510 acres
of pure heaven with lush, rolling terrain
offering native wetlands, marshes, pecan
groves, and hardwood forests challenges
golfers to adapt to the ever-changing Fallen Oak
landscape. Stretching to a hardy 7487 yards from the tips, Fallen Oak provides
five sets of tees and endless strategic play options as it winds through the varied
terrain of the great Magnolia State. Sprawling bunkers, plush fairways, dramatic
elevation changes, and gently rolling greens deliver an exceptional challenge that
will surely test any golfer. A sub air drainage system alternately heats and vacuums
moisture out of the greens to keep them consistent and healthy, just like at Augusta.
The course takes its name from the Live Oak tree that lives on the right of the
18th fairway. And what a finishing hole this is! The fairway slants left on this long
downhill par-4 with bunkers on the left, trees on the right, and water to the left of
the green. This excellent course has blended the natural contours of the land. It is
fun, exciting, and challenging and home to the PGA Tour Champions Mississippi
Gulf Resort Classic every March. The Pro-Am held at Fallen Oak was sponsored by
Nicholas Air and Callaway Golf, makers of some great golf equipment.
Got a hankering for some great Italian food, maybe mixed with fresh seafood? Then
visit the IP Casino in Biloxi and dine in the Costa Cucina Restaurant.
Mississippi has some great golf courses. They might be off the beaten track, but
well worth playing! Two PGA tour events are hosted by Mississippi, the Mississippi
Gulf Resort Classic and the Sanderson Farm Championship. Golfweek’s 2016 best
Mississippi courses you can play ranks Fallen Oak, The Preserve, and Grand Bear as
the top three, with Windance at number seven. Mississippi has 26 miles of beaches
along the gulf and a variety of great restaurants that offer some of the best fresh
seafood I have ever had.
