Golf Destination

                             course in a hand-crafted mahogany
                             water taxi. Scott Miller designed
                             something special here with
breathtaking par 3s on holes three,
five, and six, with all preceding
holes building up to the challenge
of the fourteenth. You will wonder
“will I hit this green and make a
                             par?” The distance changes daily
and is controlled by computer in
                             two directions. The 15,000 square-
foot island contains the green (only
Coeur d'Alene Resort Hole 5 one third of the footage), beautifully

                             landscaped red geraniums, a few
trees, and two bunkers. Yet, estimates show that more than 30,000 golf balls are
donated to the lake each year. Once your ball lands on the green, “Putter” the boat
transports you to and from the green. If you happen to make par or better, you
will receive a “Certificate of Achievement” personalized with your name and the
date of your round. You won’t forget this grand golf experience including the boat
ride, custom golf cart, neck massage prior to the round, and your own personal
forecaddie.

One dining option deserves special mention among the wide variety found here.
Beverly’s, the resort’s signature five-star restaurant, offers a true fine dining
experience. Named after Hagadone’s mother, Beverly’s is recognized as one of
the top restaurants in America by Distinguished Restaurants of North America
(DiRoNA). The award-winning wine cellars house more than 20,000 bottles
featuring 2,000 different labels. Excellent food, outstanding service, and a refined
but not stuffy atmosphere finishes with a breathtaking seventh floor view,
especially at sunset.

The Spa Coeur d’Alene was designed to reflect Idaho’s natural resources. Guests
are greeted with the fresh scent of cedar from the six cedar slabs placed in the
entryway. The pebble walkway gives the sensation of walking through a cedar
grove. Further inside the sound of rushing water can be heard from the two-story
waterfall. The theme continues throughout the 30,000 square foot spa with floor-to-
ceiling lake view windows in most of the treatment rooms and manicure/pedicure
stations.

Most major airlines fly into the Spokane,
Washington, airport, the closest major airport to
these resorts. Then, after 40 minutes (via pre-
arranged shuttle service), you can be transported
to the resort of your choice. Stay and play package
information can be found on the resort’s website
under hotel promotions. Give Northern Idaho a
visit, smell the fresh pines, enjoy one of the largest
fresh water lakes, and play some spectacular golf.
