Experience Virginia’s most beautiful golf in the Shenandoah
Valley. The 18-hole par 72 features bentgrass tees,
fairways, and greens. Seven sets of tees (including two
PGA Family Tees) allow for a challenging, yet pleasurable,
golf experience for players of all skill levels. Measuring
just over 7300 yards from the tips, the layout consists of
two very distinct 9-hole sides. The front features several
holes cut through hardwoods, while the back nine plays in
a valley. Blue Ridge Shadows has been continually ranked
as one of America’s Top 50 Women-Friendly courses
in the United States by Golf Digest Woman Magazine!
Surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, the
resort features a full-service Holiday Inn Hotel and Spa.
You will find the facility just one hour from the Washington,

“Best of Shenandoah Valley” —Northern Virginia Daily 2014
“Top Must Play Courses” —GolfStyles 2014
One of the best values you can find in the Mid-Atlantic is
Bowling Green Country Club. Two 18-hole golf courses roll
across Virginia farmland with charming mountain views,
excellent conditions, and challenging play. The North
course features several lakes, towering willows and even
an island green. The par 71 tract is not incredibly long,
but requires well thought-out shots. The South course is
a favorite amongst seniors and ladies, but has plenty of
character golf for players of all abilities. A shorter course,
from today’s standards, the South provides challenges
with rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. Bowling
Green North and South, two of the best the Shenandoah
Valley has to offer, is located between Winchester and
Front Royal, off Route 522. Wingfield Golf Properties now
manages the courses.
