Bill “Farmer” Meadows’ dream, Meadows Farms Golf
Course, has become one of the most unique courses
in all of America. Located in Locust Grove, VA, this
27-hole layout features several golf holes that can only
be described as one-of-a-kind. From the 841-yard par 6
recognized in The Guinness Book of Records as “The
Longest Hole in the United States” to the baseball and
waterfall holes, Meadows Farms combines fun and great
value. Bill Meadows’ talent for unique landscaping can also
be seen throughout the course. A pre-civil war homestead
and cemetery on the very ground where civil war battles
were fought can also be found here. A fabulous clubhouse
overlooking the course features the Red Bull Grill. Situated
on beautiful gently rolling countryside, Meadows Farms is
located 75 minutes from Washington, D.C., and Richmond,

Pre-Civil War clubhouse, picturesque views of the Catoctin
Mountains, a large natural grass practice facility, and 18
well-manicured holes just begin the pleasure. Overall,
golfers will find a fair, challenging, and gratifying course
with two distinctly different 9-hole tracts. The front nine is
considered more open compared to the longer, tree-lined
back nine. With a four star rating by Golf Digest, Mountain
View features a full grass practice range, short game area,
and putting green. Mountain View can be distinguished
from other golf clubs not only by its exceptional playability
and great condition but also by its great value. After your
round, reminisce while enjoying a bite and cold beverage
in the Grill–Pavilion with picturesque views of the 9th, 10th,
and 18th holes. This must play FOUR STAR Golf Digest
course is located just minutes from the historic Gettysburg
battlefields. Come play this hidden treasure where you’ll
frequently find the smoothest and quickest greens in the
area.
