This unique product for collectors caught my eye from the get go. Like
George Costanza, I have always been interested in architecture, especially
golf course. Ballpark Blueprints was started when owners Thomas Young
and Marvin Larson went searching for a blueprint poster of Fenway Park.
With none to be found except prints of landmarks like the Golden Gate
Bridge or Empire State Building, they began creating original ballpark
art for venues like Wrigley or Nationals Park. Ballpark Blueprints now offers blueprints for other sports
including football and of course, golf. Besides the prints, you can also get T-shirts and coffee and travel
mugs. I now do my morning joe with Camden Yards! Ballpark Blueprints will be teaming up with more
golf courses and creating prints from Ireland, Scotland, Pebble Beach, and the new “Wow” resort,
Streamsong in Florida. The prints are painstakingly put together from scratch rather than just scanning,
which allows details to be added. This would make a very classy gift for any fan’s sports cave or office.

Mobile devices like my smartphone, iPad, and laptop have become as much
a part of my business as my car! I never thought that would happen. When
I’m reviewing a new course or visiting a golf destination, I need a power
supply. The folks at myCharge have created a new line of rechargeable
portable chargers called All Terrain. The name fits, since the charger is
made of durable waterproof rubber. I put mine to the test as it bounced
around in a golf cart during a photo shoot. And thank goodness I had it
with me to refuel my Cannon for the back nine. The standard All Terrain

Every golfer, whether a touring professional or a weekend warrior, creates
golf tales to be remembered forever. It would take a year of Golf Guides
for me to replay the golf fables I’ve lived. In “Incredible Golf Stories–
Amazing Tales from the Green” some of the game’s most respected names
including Gary Player, Harry Vardon, and Francis Ouimet are brought
together to share their narratives. Any golf devotee would love this
wonderful collection for Mother’s or Father’s Day. I found myself reliving
my golf experiences through the words of the writers. Sports fan Julie
Ganz expertly edited the book with dozens of photos and illustrations that
illuminate the anecdotes shared here.

Local Golf Instructor Tiffany Faucette takes a swing at helping your
game with “Fighting Golf: Flow with Force and Fly.” Faucette, the head
instructor at the 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, VA, was awarded LPGA
Northeast Teacher of the year in 2014. Her energetic style is portrayed
well in this instructional book that not only works on your golf swings but
also on your mindset. If I told someone to “F” their game, I’d probably
get socked in the jaw. The author uses productive F-words like flow, force, and fly to get golfers of all
skill levels to really “F” their games. Her teaching drills are quite clever and unique. “Throw a Punch,”
“Bored at a Cocktail Party,” and “How to use your Butt” are just some of the clever coaching tips that
she shares in this very entertaining read. You will feel her passion for the game and hopefully that along
with plenty of great instructive lessons will relay into more success on the course.
