Designed by architect J. Michael Poellot and two-time
U.S. Open Champion Ernie Els, Whiskey Creek is as big
and bold as the land itself. Bordered by a high ridge of
hardwoods and a winding, free-flowing creek, the course
features wetlands, rock outcroppings, stone walls, streams,
and dramatic views of the Catoctin Mountains. Like most of
the tested and true championship courses, Whiskey Creek
is an honest golf course with its challenges and hazards
in plain sight. The holes at Whiskey Creek are designed to
test a player’s shotmaking ability, never more evident than
the par 5 closer, with ruins of an old farmhouse splitting the
fairway with great risk-reward opportunities. Come see the
