Pendleton Golf Club is one of Virginia’s most exciting
new and picturesque golf courses. Pendleton opened to
the public in September of 2006 and is located mid-point
between Richmond and Washington, D.C. in Ruther
Glen. Named after Virginia’s first acting governor Edmund
Pendleton, this course lives up to its lofty namesake.
Designed by Thomas Walker, former lead designer at the
Gary Player Design Company, this spectacular layout
combines creative mounding and undulating greens to
challenge all levels of players. The course stretches to
more than 7000 yards from the back tees, while ladies will
find the 4500 yard length accommodating. There are five
sets of tees in all. Pendleton also features one of the best
practice facilities and driving ranges in the Mid-Atlantic. The
grass tee alone at the range is OVER an acre. Call 804-

The perfect combination of traditional and modern golf can
be found in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, at Penn National
Golf Club, home of two four star, 18-hole championship
courses. The Founders Course (1968-Ed Ault Design) is
a classic northeastern-style masterpiece featuring large
contoured greens, tree-lined rye/bluegrass fairways,
sculpted bunkers, and a 7-acre lake. Iron Forge (1996-Bill
Love) is a contemporary design with bentgrass tees,
fairways, and greens and fescue bluegrass roughs. Iron
Forge has links characteristics with well-placed mounding
and tall native grasses in the outer rough areas. “Play
among the stars” at Penn National, located 18 miles west
of Gettysburg, close to I-81 and I-70. Stay & Play packages
