ABOVE AND BEYOND:
JEAN GROWS HER NETWORK FOR GOOD
Division Manager of Building Materials Jean Fahy had been working on
the Do it Best Sales team for a few years in Arizona when she had the
opportunity to relocate to the Fort Wayne office for a new position. She
and her family fell in love with the way people treated and supported
each other in her new city. Inspired to get better connected and more
involved, Jean joined the Women’s Network, a nonprofit extension of
Greater Fort Wayne whose mission is to inspire, empower and connect
women in the community. Through events and fundraising, they help
women in their membership achieve their goals and gain representation
in leadership roles.
“My father raised me to be a strong woman from a young age,” says
Jean. “This carries into all aspects of my career. I’m oftentimes the only
woman at the table and although I am comfortable in this position, I
expect to see more women by now.” Jean serves as a vice chair for the Jean recently had the opportunity to talk on a local TV segment
events committee at the Women’s Network and she focuses on creating about a special event sponsored by the Women’s Network
events with real value to women. Her goal is to provide women with honoring those who help make meaningful changes in the
networking opportunities that create lasting change in the community community.
and the overall diversity and inclusion of women in leadership positions.
Her favorite part of being involved with the Women’s Network is that she gets to make an impact. After working hard on her career
for so many years, she realized she wanted to do something meaningful to give back. Joining the Women’s Network has allowed her
to do that.
