How to choose a
GREAT contractor
Knowledgeable – A quality contractor should know their craft inside and
out and be able to give you all the information you need to make well-educated decisions.
Current – A quality contractor should work at keeping their company up to date on best practices,
new products, regulations, insurance requirements, safety procedures, and proper equipment.
Skilled – A quality contractor should be able to show you past work demonstrating their
capabilities, attention to every detail and mastery of the trade.
Honest – A quality contractor should explain the details of a project clearly –
especially the more unpleasant topics of cost, construction mess and realistic
time frame to complete the job.
REMEMBER
When it comes to hiring a contractor, the lowest price is rarely the
best choice. When comparing one contractor’s estimate to another,
make sure you are comparing apples to apples in terms of
installation methods, materials and the level of service provided.
