a. To show actions done regularly or habitually. • My dad jogs daily.
Usually used with ‘always’, ‘often’, ‘daily’, etc. • The children always fight.
• Rosie often walks to school.
b. To express a fact or truth • The sun rises in the east.
• Insects have six legs.
c. To show a future action that is part of a plan • The bus leaves in an hour’s time.
• The train arrives in five minutes.
d. To give an instruction or order • Walk in one line.
• Keep quiet.
e. To declare something or make observations • Amy seems to be restless.
• Bob enjoys swimming.
