           •  The verb can be singular or plural, depending on the subject.
                                         Subject              Verb
                             You/we/they (plural)            do
                             ‘I’ is always followed by a plural verb  do
                             He/she/it (singular)            does
                             The boys (plural)               do
                             The rat (singular)              does
                             Everyone (singular)             does

           •  Contractions can be used for answers in the negative.
             E.g.  do not – don’t
                  does not – doesn’t
                  No, I do not. – No, I don’t.
                  No, she does not. – No, she doesn’t.
