Happy Almost Spring!

The weather here in KY is obnoxious! One day its 64 degrees, but within a few hrs, it drops to 32
degrees. Then The snow and ice hits, canceling school. As the kids are enjoying their day off
and sledding, the sun appears. A few hrs later, there is no trace of snow to be seen. But wait?
Dark clouds bring thunder......and RAIN! Winters in KY.

None of that puts a damper on us. Our flowers are springing up, our projects are getting
underway and we look forward to our gathering during the Spring Convention. Can’t wait! Our
Convention this year is April 27th and 28th in Cadiz, Ky. That's not all! Each of the Chapters
representing Ky do things in their own ways. For instance, Alpha Epsilon is greatly looking forward
to assisting with the St Jude's Dream Home. They Are involved from start to finish by raising money,
assisting with St Jude's Dream Home Bricks and Sticks, selling tickets and everything behind the
scenes. This is one of the largest fundraisers for them to give back to ST Jude.

Our State President, Vicky Jones, is involved in the Imagination Library. This is the Library Dolly
Parton has started in 1995. For those who have never heard of such, she gifts books to children
ages birth to school age, no matter the income. These
are wonderful books. Many of our own kids received
these gifts in the mail. Therefore, this also became a
passion of Vicky's, after seeing the positive changes
that occur, fundamentally and socially with these
kids. Many chapters in KY have supported
her.....Thank you to all the Chapters that donated to
President Vicky’s State Philanthropic Project, the
Imagination Library. The total was a very generous
$445. Thank you to Alpha Delta - $50, Alpha Theta -
$70, Beta Chi - $25, Beta Nu - $150, Delta Tau - $100,
and Kappa Psi - $50.

That’s not all that happens in KY.
Beta Chi has been busy making beauty kits for the
ladies at our local spouse abuse shelter for Christmas
and currently we are making up Easter baskets for the
kids. We will soon be gearing up with Alpha Theta for
the 2018 St. Jude Dream Home.
