It is hard to believe that we have held our last council meeting for the year.
Next on our horizon is our state convention in May. It will be hosted by Alpha
Tau and will include a mystery murder night. It is an opportunity for us to invite our family to join
us for the festivities.
Alpha Lambda held their annual Spring Tea on February 24 and heir speaker was Josh
th
Hanagarns. He has written a book about his struggle with Tourette’s Syndrome. He will review
his book and lead a discussion. He works at the Main Library, Downtown Salt Lake City.
Alpha Tau hosted their annual Bunco for St. Jude’s on March 10 . It was attended by at least
th
one member from each chapter. They raised more than $1600 for St. Jude’s. It was a lot of fun
and many members brought a guest.
Alpha Rho hosted the March council meeting in Moab on March 3 . Their speaker was Jim
rd
Weber from Search and Rescue. He provided a very interesting overview of the activities and
training needed by this totally volunteer organization. The Moab based group is the busiest
groups in Utah. Bobbie Long turn 90 and many of our Utah sisters traveled to Moab to celebrate
her special day.
