Pinpin and Her Sailor Dad

Pinpin’s dad was a sailor. He was always out at sea. Pinpin missed dad
sometimes.
Dad’s ship would stay at the port for two days.
When Dad saw Mom and Pinpin, he gave them a big warm hug.
They sat on the deck. They walked and talked.
“Dad, why do you have to work on a ship?” asked Pinpin.
“Pinpin, ships bring things to people, like food and clothes,” said Dad.
“So people need sailors like dad!” Pinpin was very proud.
The wind was cool. A few raindrops fell.
“Dad, where will your ship go?” asked Pinpin.
“To the end of the rainbow,” said dad.
Pinpin looked over the sea. A rainbow was really there. Vocabulary
