WHA T IS TELEMEDICINE

With the recent pandemic it’s no wonder that patients and doctors are
utilizing allternative methods for treatment. Telemedicine is an up and coming
method of treating patients. Its accessible via online for both doctors and patients.
It allows the oppertunity to video call or message for at home treatment. This helps
decongest walk-ins at hospital and Urgent cares. It also helps reduces the risk of
COVID-19 spreading.

When utilizing telemedince you are able to be seen instantly at any given time or
location, as long as you have access to the software and internet. Telemedicine also
reduces the cost of being seen by a healthcare professsional. It’s a great option for
doctors to see if a patient needs an in person visit. Telemedicines’ most impacted
field is skin care and mental health. Telemedicine allows a patient to see their
therapist or pschiatrist at any moment without the hassle of having to drive down
to their clinic.

Doctors will have the ability to renew and prescribe treatments accordingly. While
major treatments may not be avaible through telemedicine. Doctors will still have
the oppertunity to asses the situation and provide preventative care.
